Compare Flights

airportCompare Flight

If you are a frequent flyer, then you have all the right ideas on where to look for cheaper flights. But if you are a first time traveler then you must know that the best way to be practical whenever you travel is when you compare flights. It would mean its prices, services and other amenities. Not all airlines provide the same rates and services. That is why it is most sensible to compare flights to travel light and easy.

To guide you on how to properly compare flights, just follow these simple steps:

-         Use websites offering flight finders. There are many in the internet that you could make use of to know of the differences on rates, services and other things that an airline can provide for you. All you have to do is type in your place of origin and your destination and you can compare flights already.

-         Compare flights via travel agencies. There are agencies that offer 2 or more airlines in their bookings. You could directly compare flights through them and they can even throw in their recommendations as well. But be wary when you do compare flight via agencies because they tend to favor a particular airline over others maybe because of business tie-ups. Be objective when giving out your queries and that would also result to objective answers as well.

-         You could directly contact these airlines by phone, although these can be a tedious process but if you have free time on your hands why not call them yourself. They can directly answer your queries regarding rates, baggage fees, hidden charges and so much more.

-         Whatever the means to compare flights, never forget to ask baggage rates and other terminal fees. These are hidden charges that some airlines do not automatically present to ticket buyers.

Be a wise traveler. Compare flights and you are on your way of having an economical flight. The extra money can be used for some important things because comparing flights will definitely save you a lot of money. It just needs more time and effort on your part to compare flights. But if the act can help you save money, and then why not allot time to compare flights, right?

Do I Really Need UK Travel Insurance?

travel-costDo I Really Need UK Travel Insurance?

When you think of why you’d need travel insurance you probably get images of broken legs whilst skiing, Car rental mishaps in the Mediterranean and eating some dodgy shrimp. You wouldn’t normally associate a weekend break within the UK as somewhere you’d need travel insurance.

But the truth is that wherever you go in the UK you are still going to need travel insurance, just not in the way you’d normally expect. Since you’ll still be in the UK you won’t be claiming against your life insurance if you get injured, that’s what health insurance is for.

The situations you’d need to claim against travel insurance would normally be the occasions where you have to cancel your holiday or cut it short. One such situation could be that you go on holiday for two weeks, when halfway through you injure yourself meaning you have to go to the hospital, subsequently cutting your holiday short. Aside from the medical costs you could end up being lumbered with charges for your accommodation even though you’re stuck in a hospital bed and not even at the hotel anymore!

This is unfortunate but hotels are well within their rights to charge you as otherwise they could have filled that booking with someone else. Luckily your travel insurance policy covers events such as these and can help regain most of the expenses which normally would be lost.

It’s also becoming more popular for people to take advantage of cheap domestic flights and taking the plane as opposed to a long and winding road trip, so if you were to cancel your holiday even due to bereavement then normally you’d be left out of pocket, travel insurance covers this too fortunately. This would also cover lost luggage as even with domestic flights it’s not unknown for your bags to disappear off the face of the earth!

Invariably whilst you’re away you’ll be taking a camera with you, and in this day and age probably a mobile phone or MP3 player too, if you were to lose or damage it while on holiday then you may not be able to afford a replacement out of your own money.

So as you can see there are plenty of occasions where you’d need travel insurance, no matter where you go, be it abroad or the other side of the country. If you have any doubts or questions it would be best to check with your current travel insurance company or a travel agent as they’d be best to advise on the level of cover for your chosen destination, you should also familiarise yourself with your insurance emergency claims line which are normally open 24 hours, 365 days a year

Family fun in abundance at UK holiday parks

fun-parkFamily fun in abundance at UK holiday parks

This is great in principle but the likelihood is that we will have such a range of activities that we think there is not possibly a place that offers it all. However, the emergence of holiday parks in the UK has resulted in an influx of families flocking to the resorts. One of the best things about these holiday parks is that they provide something for all the family and no matter what your budget is you will be able to visit them.

You can choose to go for a few days or a week and you will have a great time no matter what. The weather can sometimes ruin our holidays and with the British weather being so unpredictable the holiday parks have a range of activities that can take place outdoor and indoor. This means if the heavens do open there is still plenty to keep you occupied including a water park where everyone can get stuck in and have some fun. This includes the toddlers as although they can’t go down the slides for health and safety reasons there is still a shallow end for them to splash around in so they don’t feel left out.

For parents with toddlers and babies you may want to have a few hours to yourselves so you can kick back and relax and enjoy your time away. There is a nursery at the holiday parks where your children can meet other kids and have a great time playing games and singing and dancing, they will love it there and the only problem you may have is getting them to leave. With a range of great accommodation you will have a great time whatever you are looking for, the May bank holiday is just around the corner and you can take your family on a fun-filled trip.

How an Interior Designer Can Increase the Value of your London Property

How an Interior Designer Can Increase the Value of your London Property

A recent homebuyer’s report from Halifax shows a substantial up to 20% growth in the London property prices during the first six month of the year 2007. It sounds like a good news for the sellers. At same time the rising market is more demanding when it comes to the quality of accommodation and therefore it requires additional efforts from the sellers.London buyers are particularly aware of the recent trends and home standards and very often they would like to move in straight away without doing any improvements on the property.

To increase saleability of a property it should correspond to the buyers expectations. An interior designer with experience for pre-sale refurbishment can achieve amazing results in the shortest time. The new bathroom and kitchen are leading the hit parade of the home improvements that would increase the value of the property…..assuming it is done properly and preferably professionally. Low quality DIY jobs completed wihout any knowledge of building regulations and current interior design trends would not increase the value of the property but can even decrease it. To avoid costly mistakes it pays off to comission a professional interior design specialist. A designer would be able to conceive, organize and supervise the project making sure that the final result would greatly appeal to the prospective buyers.

Saving on materials used for the work is another reason to employ an interior designer who would know exactly where to purchase necessary materials and appliances and would pass 10-20% discount to the customer. Another reason is time management. Many property owners don’t quite realise how much input of time and knowledge their project will take. It is particularly difficult when one is in the regular employment, that means that the project might last for years robbing of relaxing week-ends and in the end the final product would not necessary be ideal.

The skills of an interior designer are frequently used by the property developers. Although most experienced property developers would nearly instinctively know what type of interior finish would appeal to their market, they find that contracting an interior designer achieve better standards thus increasing the price of the property and consequently their profits. Many prestigious residential developments around the country and in London in particular would pride themselves in the quality level of their new homes. An interior designer would add a “wow factor” and a special home comfort touch to the interiors which would make them more marketable among style-conscious new buyers.

It is a common knowledge by now that attractive properties have higher rate of success with the prospective buyers. They conquer the hearts from the first visit and as a rule never stays on the market for long time. Even if one doesn’t want to make a total refurbishment of the house it would make sense to invite an interior design specialist to advise you on some inexpensive but highly valuable improvement in the interior. We get used to our interiors but very often the interior created would only appeal to the limited number of prospective buyers and therefore some changes are essential to achieve a sale. In the recent years such interior design service as home staging is growing up in popularity. A professional interior designer would help to create a fresh appealing to the potential buyers look by de-cluttering the space, changing furniture layout and adding a few stylish accessories. The results wouldn’t make you wait…

There are many interior designers in London; look for their membership/affiliation to the professional bodies. So why not contract an interior designer and … increase the value of your property?

How a Commercial Estate Agent Can Help You Find the Right Property in London

How a Commercial Estate Agent Can Help You Find the Right Property in London

Relocation of premises happens relatively rarely during a business’s lifespan and if handled badly, the negative effects on the company and its staff can be long-lasting and have considerable impact. Because a relocation is such an unusual but important event, surely it is better to put it in the hands of someone who does this regularly as part of their job, rather than trusting it to a member of staff whose inexperience could have potentially disastrous consequences? Commercial estate agents in London have the skills, resources and experience to ensure that your company’s relocation runs as smoothly as possible.

A commercial estate agent in London can have access to potential properties before they have even been released to the marketplace. Combined with their understanding of the area’s property prices and local economy – as well as an understanding of what your company wants to achieve from relocating – they can begin to search for a property that meets your criteria and budget.

The budget is, of course, a vital consideration in any relocation and a commercial estate agent in London will be able to determine just how much should be set aside for each stage of the move, from planning to the physical cost of the move itself. They can even allocate a relocation manager; a specialist who can work on the company’s behalf and ensure that the whole process from an office being found to moving in goes smoothly, ensuring that the company can work to its usual standards, all the way through the process.

A commercial estate agent in London will also have some knowledge of the capital, both locally and in terms of the area as a whole. Local knowledge can prove extremely advantageous when it comes to sourcing properties that might otherwise go unnoticed or are in areas that are about to undergo ‘facelifts’, all of which can be of benefit to the client, when it comes to the negotiating stage. Knowledge of the city’s economy and property-market structure can also help to identify blossoming ‘hot-spots’ that might take the client in an unexpected, but favourable, direction.

As well as being able to negotiate the complex legal aspects of contracts, a good commercial estate agent in London should be independent. This way, they are not tied to certain landlords and can seek properties as they see fit and they also can negotiate with their clients in mind, rather than simply agreeing to the price that is offered. Local knowledge will also be useful when it comes to deciding which locations are suitable where amenities and facilities are concerned; if it is known that the tube station local to a potential office will be closed for six months, this may have a bearing on its appropriateness as a prospective site. In addition, local knowledge can help when it comes to the move itself; the agent can source local firms to implement the move, which may cost considerably less than companies sourced from elsewhere.

It can be tempting to save money and put the responsibility in the hands of a member of staff but, in the long-term, inexperience can cost the company a lot more than working with a commercial estate agent would.

uk-airportLondon Airports and Airport Taxi

Five large airports are the hearth of airlines in London. They serve millions of passangers every day giving them variety of services as fligths from and to any destinations in the world, airport transfer with companies that are experienced in that area in London.

Here I write little text about every London airport few facts and details which I think would interest everyone that travel uses airlines as a travel solution.

Below you will see also a text about london airport transfer, London airport cars and companies that offer airport taxi on all these major London Airports.

Heathrow Airport

The largest airport in Europe is London Heathrow Airport located 32km to the west of Central London and is one of the busiest and most sophisticated airports in the world. Heathrow Airport handles more than 6.5 million passengers in a month, almost as the number of  London’s population. London Heathrow Airport has 5 terminals and each of them has competitive currency exchange facilities, information counters, accommodation desks and left luggage facilities. The newest addition is the 5th Terminal which  is 5 times the size of Terminal 4 and it was opened on March 2008.

Gatwick Airport

The second largest and busiest airport in London measured by passenger traffic and aircraft movements is London Gatwick Airport located 45km south of London. The number of passengers that goes through Gatwick’s 2 terminals is over 32 millions in a year. The terminals are faced North and East and it has a comprehensive selection of shops, exchange offices, help desks and left-luggage facilities.

Stansted Airport

Third busiest airport in London located at Stansted Mountfitchet in the District of Uttlesford in Essex, 48 km (30 mi) north-east of central London. Stansted Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in Europe and it is home to many of the UK’s low-cost airlines, serving mostly European and Mediterranean destinations. Stansted Airport has three terminals divided as one main passenger terminal, a private aircraft terminal and a cargo station.

Luton Airport

Fourth airport in London is London Luton Airport which is fast growing and many services are provided by low-cost airlines like the Stansted Airport. Luton Airport is located 51km (32 miles) north-west of London. The airport possesses a single runway, running roughly east to west, with a length of 2,160 m (7,087 ft)[1] at an elevation of 526 ft (160 m). The runway is equipped with an Instrument Landing System rated to Category IIIB, allowing the airport to continue operating in conditions of poor visibility.[13][14] All the airport facilities lie to the north of the runway. The terminal and aprons have a somewhat unusual layout, with ground-side access to the terminal being via a road tunnel to a bus station, drop off area, taxi rank and short term car park on the runway side of the terminal building.

London City Airport

The fifth airport in London is London City Airport is situated approximately 9.5km (6 miles) east of Central London and just 4.8km (3 miles) from Canary Wharf. A single short runway handles short-haul flights with a strong emphasis on business travel. From October 2009 a new British Airways service will run between London City Airport and New York’s JFK airport. London City Airport can be accessed by taxi or bus. Its single terminal incorporates shops, information and taxi desks and left luggage facility.

London Airport Taxi

As the airports grew and more and more people traveled by air the need for airport taxi was growing to. In London there are many airport taxi companies that provide airport taxi, airport transfer services from and to all the five airports in London, but not much are professionals. As the need of airport taxi services was growing and the way of their work was evolving to. Now you can easily arrange a airport taxi from any airport in London to any desired destination , awaiting you at the airport at the exact time and date you wanted, simply by online booking and you know the price for the service in front, so you know if it suits you.

Almost every airport taxi company has a website with online booking which makes things much easier. But the main problem is their service. Only small number of companies have the quality and the experience that one client needs so he don’t have headaches during his transfer and service.

Below I listed 2 companies that many people have talked about and also I have personal experience with them. For my comment I will give only one sentence:Using their services is beeing a real pleausure.

But enough talking about them below will list just a short description and few links to their sites where you can book your online airport transfer, can check their info so you can check them personally.
